Lorain- Bernice V. Reisz (nee: Fletcher), 83, resident of Lorain passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Golden Acres Nursing Home following a long illness.
She was born on December 23, 1929 in Lorain, OH to her parents, William and Olive (nee: Paige) Fletcher.
Bernice was married to Bernard Reisz on June 7, 1947 for 65 years. She was a waitress for Lorain Yacht Club and catering services. Bernice was a member of St. Peter Church in Lorain and she enjoyed going to bingo and Las Vegas, playing cards.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Bernard Reisz: children, Janice (Al) Heighberger, Dolly Roches, Susie (Don) Sicurella, Bernard (Carolyn) Reisz and Sherry (David) Pankratz: sister, Darlene Krieg: sister-in-law, Janie Fletcher: 11 grandchildren: 16 great grandchildren: and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Olive Fletcher: brothers, Robert and William Fletcher: and sister, Barbara Szabo.

Lorain- Dorothy Rozelle (nee: Courtney) Nash, 72, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain, OH.
Dorothy was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 17, 1940 to her loving parents, David and Ruth (nee: Brown) Courtney and moved to Lorain, OH in 1968 with her husband and two small children.
She married her husband, Richard Nash on July 17, 1963. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorain. Dorothy was a waitress at Sutter's and she enjoyed drawing and painting as a canvas artist.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years of marriage, Richard Nash of Lorain, OH: children, Scott Nash of Atlanta, GA and Martha Scott of Nokomis, FL: brother, David Courtney: sisters, Martha Vetter and Beth Sliff: and six grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents: and sister Ruth.

Lorain- James "Jimmy Mill" Mielcarek, 51, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at home from complications of diabetes.
Jimmy was born on December 23, 1961 in Lorain, OH to his loving parents, Gerald W. and Marguerite E. (nee: Damm) Mielcarek and he was a lifelong resident of Lorain.
He graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1980 and Pharmacy Tech School during his time in the U.S. Navy. Jimmy enlisted in the United States Navy in 1981. He was a Battlefield Corpsman with the United States Marine Corps, Third Fleet in Okinawa. He was honorably discharged in 1987, returned home, and joined the Lorain Fire Department, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed entertaining others as a stand up comic in the Cleveland area as Jimmy Mill. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary Church in Lorain and he was active in Alcoholics Anonymous.
He is survived by his mother, Marguerite Mielcarek of Lorain: sister, Deborah Parker (Hayward Garcia) of Vermilion: brothers, Gerald (Vera) Mielcarek Jr. of Lorain, Michael Mielcarek of Lorain and Alfred Mielcarek of Avon: nieces, Cher Parker, Ashley and Erica Mielcarek and Cali Hughes: nephews, Liam, Trenton and Tyler Mielcarek: cousins, William Damm, Matt and Jeff Fenn: and lifelong friend, Joanie Parker.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald W. Mielcarek Sr in 1986: grandparents, Marguerite and Alfred Damm; and Walter and Lucille Mielcarek.

Lorain- Angelo V. LoPresti, age 102, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Elmcroft Assisted Living surrounded by his loving family.
Angelo was born on November 7, 1910 in Indiana, PA and he was raised in Homer City, PA.
He started his apprenticeship at Sam Garnieri Barbershop at the age of 13 in Homer City, PA and at the age of 16 he moved to Detroit, MI to work as a Barber. He returned to Homer City in 1930 and operated a barbershop for two years before moving to Indiana, PA. As an individual businessman, Angelo was the oldest to retire a business in his community. He started a Barbershop from scratch working 12 hour days from 8 AM � 8 PM making only 25 cents for a haircut. �Thank you Lord for my parents who cared for me during those times�, Angelo said. Angelo�s marriage to his loving wife, Frances was arranged by their parents, they were married on September 25, 1937 and they raised three loving sons together.
He was a member of several Holy Name Society�s including St. Peter�s, Lorain County Serra Club, St. Peter Church in Lorain, and former member of the Knights of Columbus. Angelo enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Peter�s, golfing, gardening and traveling to Italy and Poland.
Angelo has been admitted to the Guinness Book of World Records as being the oldest working Barber. Angelo continued his Barbering career in Lorain until a couple months ago when he fell ill.
He is survived by his sons, Fr. Carl LoPresti of Chenoa, IL and Roger (Jan) LoPresti of Lorain, OH: grandchildren, Chris LoPresti, Michelle (Brian) Sealy, Cherilyn (Jim) McCann and Chad LoPresti: and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (nee: Cimino) LoPresti: son, Virgil LoPresti: parents, Virgilio and Diega LoPresti: sisters, Lillian Matthews and Mary Shimko: and brothers, Frank, Ernie and John LoPresti

Lorain- Thomas Leroy Cendrosky, 76, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at his home.
Thomas was born on July 16, 1936 in Lorain, OH to his loving parents, Robert and Geraldine (nee: Uehlein) Cendrosky.
He graduated from Lorain High School and married his wife, Cis (nee: Smith) on December 1, 1956. Thomas was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish in Lorain. He worked at Lorain Telephone Company and retired after 44 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, gambling and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Cis Cendrosky: children, Debbie (Robert) O�Connell, Cindy (Mike) Kish and Tim (Diane) Cendrosky: grandchildren, Lynn, Thomas, Allyson, Amanda, Aaron, Lauren and Joseph: mother, Geraldine Cendrosky: and brother, Neil (Mikey) Cendrosky.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Cendrosky: and sister, Shirley Stanziano.

Lorain- Quintino G. DiFilippo, 94, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Montenero, Italy on June 15, 1918 to his loving parents, Federico and Giuliarosa (nee: Mannarelli) DiFilippo.
Quintino graduated with a degree in Education in Italy and was an elementary school teacher in Italy. He served in the Italian Army during WWII and was stationed in Sardinia, Italy. He came to the United States at the age of 29 and married his wife, Rosemary in 1955. He retired from the City of Lorain Surveying Department. He was a member of St. Peter Church in Lorain and he enjoyed spending time outdoors with his children and received great joy spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years of marriage, Rosemary (nee: Magazzine) DiFilippo: children, Quintino A. DiFilippo, Fred (Marla) DiFilippo, Frank (Ana) DiFilippo and Julimarie (Mark) Mishak: grandchildren, Madeline and Nick DiFilippo; Francesco DiFilippo and Christian Quiles; Mark II and Michael Mishak: and sister, Clara Miraldi.
He was preceded in death by parents: siblings, Filomena DiFilippo, Filomeno DiFilippo, Augusta Raponi and Bice DiMarco.

Vermilion- Della Marie Wengel, 68, passed away on Wednesday, February 27th, 2013 at Kingston of Vermilion following a long term illness. She was born January 7th, 1945 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lorain.
Retired from Oak Hills Nursing Home. Her hobbies included, fishing with her family, going to the Flea Market and she enjoyed baby-sitting her many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her mother, Clara Francis DelBoccio Betka, age 88 of Amherst, Ohio; her son, Michael Betka of Amherst, Ohio; daughter, Dawn (Adam) Dupree; grandchildren, Christopher (12), Sydney (8), and Annabelle Grace Dupree (2) of Port Orange, Florida; brothers, Gerald Betka, Patrick Betka and Kenneth Betka; sisters, Sandra Carty and Donna Pavlik; nieces, Jennifer, Bridgette, Lyndsey, and Shelby; and nephews, Scotty, Stevie, Kenneth, Adam, Heath, Jeffrey and Chris.
She is preceded in death by her father, Stanley Andrew Betka; uncle, William Theodore Betka; and many other loving family and friends.
She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and loving heart. May she walk with The Lord in heaven.

He was previously employed with Duffin Manufacturing as a machinist and he enjoyed hunting, working on cars and fishing.

Lorain- Robert J. Naelitz, 81, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.
Robert was born in Lorain on August 26, 1931 to his loving parents, Daniel J. and Anna (nee: Lynch) Naelitz and was a lifetime Lorain County resident.
He attended Lorain High School and married Ida Marie (nee: Miller) on May 28, 1952. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was a Corporal with the 141st Armd Sig Company, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and was honorably discharged in 1954.
He enjoyed his days as a Barber at Bill's Barber Shop and was a member of St. Mary Church in Lorain. He enjoyed music, especially his loving wife's performances, his grandchildren and college football.
He is survived by his loving wife Ida Marie Naelitz: children, Robert John Jr. (Gale), Debra (Dean) Costa and Tim (Carlyn): beloved grandchildren: brother, Jim: and many nieces and nephews.
