Mrs. Bernice V. Reisz

Lorain- Bernice V. Reisz (nee: Fletcher), 83, resident of Lorain passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Golden Acres Nursing Home following a long illness.

She was born on December 23, 1929 in Lorain, OH to her parents, William and Olive (nee: Paige) Fletcher.

Bernice was married to Bernard Reisz on June 7, 1947 for 65 years. She was a waitress for Lorain Yacht Club and catering services. Bernice was a member of St. Peter Church in Lorain and she enjoyed going to bingo and Las Vegas, playing cards.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Bernard Reisz: children, Janice (Al) Heighberger, Dolly Roches, Susie (Don) Sicurella, Bernard (Carolyn) Reisz and Sherry (David) Pankratz: sister, Darlene Krieg: sister-in-law, Janie Fletcher: 11 grandchildren: 16 great grandchildren: and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Olive Fletcher: brothers, Robert and William Fletcher: and sister, Barbara Szabo.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Christian burial services will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I was lucky enough to have spent time with her. She was a wonderful woman and had a beautiful smile. She touched my heart and it was a joy to have spent time with her.God Bless your family in your time of grief.
