Lorain- Celeste DeSantis, 88, passed away on May 7, 2010.

Born, Celeste Tamborino, on August 1, 1921 in Union City, New Jersey. Celeste met Angelo in New York during WWII and moved to Lorain after marrying. In addition to raising a family, Celeste was an avid artist, seamstress, keyboardist, and choir member at St. Peter Church. 

Survivors include sons, Robert (Nancy), Michael and Tom; granddaughter, Gina; and 14 nieces and nephews.

Celeste was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo; father, Angelo; mother, Ann; and sister, Ann.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, (440)244-1961 on Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 2:00 5:00 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home Monday morning at 8:50 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM, Monday, May 10, 2010 at St. Peter Church, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH 44053, Rev. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, officiating. Christian burial services will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. Memorial donations may be made to New Life Hospice of St. Joseph, 5255 N. Abbe
