Amherst - Maryann (nee Dugovich) Camera, 83, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain, OH.
She was born on October 6, 1932 to her loving parents, Michael and Maria (nee Kusnyir) Dugovich in Lorain, OH where she resided most of her life before moving to Amherst about ten years ago. Maryann graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1950.
She married Frank S. Camera on January 30, 1954. Maryann was a member of St. Peter Parish in Lorain. She worked at Seymours Jewelry starting as the family babysitter at 16 years old. She worked her way up to bookkeeper/accountant by taking a correspondence course and continued through two owners, for a total of 40 years. Later she worked for Bell Services Inc. until her retirement at age 65. Maryann also worked throughout her life, in the business started by her father, Lorain Flower Shop. Her family remembers her delivering Easter flowers dressed as the Easter bunny, helping her mother in the greenhouses and creating beautiful floral arrangements for all occasions. She was even allowed to return to the flower shop to make her daughter's wedding bouquet. She was a dedicated election worker and a staunch Democrat. She and her husband were both avid Boosters for Oak Hills Swim Team where she supported her children with fundraisers and many hot dog roasts. Maryann was an avid reader and knitter. In recent years she made it her ministry to provide handmade knit hats to children that need them. She provided nearly 300 hats to school children from Lorain to Hough (Cleveland).
She is survived by her children, Michael J. (Cathy) Camera of Avon, OH, Tracy (Eric) Lockhart of Amherst, OH, and Carl (Teresa) Camera of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren (James) Conway of Henderson, NV, Michael II (Karen) Camera of Dublin, OH, Elizabeth Lockhart of Euclid, OH, Christina Lockhart of Lexington, KY, and Christopher and Kevin Camera both of Austin, Texas; brothers, Ernest (Joyce) Dugovich of Lorain, OH, Frank (Helen) Dugovich of Middleburg Hts, OH, and Elmer Dugovich of Chicago, IL; sister, Lynne (Phil) Venable of Portland, OR; sisters-in-law, Martha Dugovich of Alexandria, VA and Cecelia Camera of Elyria, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Frank S. Camera; her parents; an infant son, David; sisters, Elizabeth (Tony) Horvath, Margaret (John) Novak both of Lorain, OH and Hermaine (Paul) Spiegel, of Avon, OH; and brothers, William (Marge) Dugovich of Seattle, WA and Nick Dugovich of Alexandria, VA.

Lorain - Gabriel V. DiLuciano, 90, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
Gabriel was born on August 8, 1926 in Lorain, OH to his loving parents, Dominic and Candita (nee Tardio) DiLuciano.
He attended Lorain High School from 1941 - 1944 and entered the U.S. Army in 1945, during WWII, serving as a Military Policeman, and Gabriel was honorably discharged in 1946. Gabriel married his beloved, Constance Claire (nee Cerne) on September 29, 1951 and they raised four loving children. He worked at U.S. Steel as a pipefitter retiring in 1982 after 36 years of service. Gabriel also worked part time at the Broadway Building in maintenance to provide for his family. He enjoyed solving the jumble word puzzle in the morning while eating breakfast with close friends and he loved playing golf into his early 80's.
He is survived by his children, Mark (Michelle) DiLuciano, Greg (Elizabeth) DiLuciano, Michele Kaffee, and Scott (Janet) DiLuciano; brother-in-law, Dominic DeAngelis; and sisters-in-law, Francis DiLuciano and Eleanor DiLuciano; granddaughters, Alex DiLuciano and Meredith Kaffee; and step-grandchildren, Jeremy Kirsch and Jessica Benford.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dominic and Candita DiLuciano; wife, Constance DiLuciano in 1977; brothers, Serafin, Ferdinand and Albert DiLuciano; and sisters, Victoria DeAngelis and Antoinette Mullins.

Elyria - Beatrice T. Homoki-Christian (nee: Rahrig), 87, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at University Hospital of Elyria.
She was born in Elyria, Ohio on June 5, 1929 and was a lifelong Elyria resident.
Beatrice attended Elyria High School, graduating in 1947. She raised five children, John, Michael, Greg, Joan and Ken. Bea was a member of St. Jude Parish and Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, and Bea loved being a caregiver and helping others. Beatrice was president of the PTA at St. Jude School, a Girl Scout Leader, Den Leader for Cub Scouts, and she also worked with the Kidney Foundation.
She is survived by her loving children, John (Barbara) Homoki, Michael (Susan) Homoki, Gregg (Deanna) Homoki, Joan Herb, and Ken (Terri) Homoki; three stepsons, Tom (Susan) Christian, Tim (Pam) Christian, and James (Pam) Christian; and proud grandma of sixteen and great grandma of eleven.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Theresa (nee: Klingshirn) Rahrig; husband, George Christian in 2006; 6 sisters, Josephine (Tony) Meo, Florence (Herald) Hintz, Mildred (Phillip) Seitz, Rose (Joe) Simon, Olivia (Bud) Hollis, and Marcella (Max) Fisher; and 2 brothers, Otto (Louise) Rahrig, and George (Betty) Rahrig.

Amherst - Vincent F. Camera, 79, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 5, 1936 in Lorain, Ohio to his loving parents, Joseph and Rosemary (nee: Spando) Camera.
Vince graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1955. He honorably served his Country in the U.S. Army and returned home in 1957. Vince married the love of his life, Diane (nee: DelBoccio) on October 24, 1959. Vince was an inspector at E & L Transport. He was a choir member at Church of the Open Door in Elyria for 17 years. He enjoyed attending church, golfing and bowling. Vince was a strong leader in his family, home and his faith. Always an honorable man and trusted friend.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Diane Camera; sons, Vinny (Kathy) Camera, and Tony (Janice) Camera; daughter, Christy (Gary) Schobel; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rosemary Camera.

Avon - Phyllis Sibbing (nee Armelie), 68, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Ames Hospice House in Westlake, OH, with her loving husband and many family and friends at her side.
Phyllis was born in Lorain, Ohio on March 26, 1948. She graduated from Admiral King High School, Class of 1966 and from Ohio University in 1970. She married Ron Sibbing on April 28, 1973. Phyllis worked as a teacher for 12 years in Lorain City Schools and as a writer/editor for Modern Curriculum Press from 1983 to 1992. She finished her work career as a freelance writer from 1992 to 2010.
She enjoyed reading, travel, being involved in family interests, knitting and volunteering for some campaigns.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ron Sibbing; mother, Virginia (nee Skolnicki) Armelie; and brother, Dominic (Nancy) Armelie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Philip Armelie and infant brother Philip.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 27,2016 at St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain, OH 44053. Lorain - LaVera T. Elwell (nee Perron), 88, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Elmcroft Senior Living, surrounded by her loving family while holding her beloved husband's hand.
She was born on June 6, 1928, at St. Ann's Hospital in Cleveland, OH.
LaVera attended Holy Name grade school and high school, graduating in 1946. Following high school she began a secretarial career leading up to her marriage to Thomas Elwell on December 26, 1950. They then commenced a 65 year marriage, raising seven children. They moved to Lorain in 1954. LaVera was a homemaker during her children's younger years, then returned to work as a legal secretary from 1963-1978. She then went to work as parish secretary at Lorain St. Peter Church for 17 years, retiring in 1995 to care for her ailing daughter, Colleen. Her later retirement years were spent wintering in Florida with Tom.
In addition to her duties as parish secretary at St. Peter's, she was a PSR teacher, Eucharistic Minister, and parish festival volunteer. She and Tom were members of the Moose Lodge in Elyria. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and the beach, but her greatest passion was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas J. Elwell Sr., children Teri (David-deceased) Gaede, Thomas Jr. (Vicky), Michael (Donna), James (Karen), Timothy (Mariana), Lynn (Zack) Wilhelm, and son-in-law Patrick LaVeck Sr., grandchildren Jeremy, Jessica, Megan, Matthew, Patrick Jr., Joseph, Robert, Michael Jr., Melissa, James Jr., Erica, Sophia, Isabel, J.T., Taylor, Madeline, and Emma, and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Colleen LaVeck in 1995, parents Ralph and Irene Perron, and brothers Ralph (Red), Sam, and Pete Perron.

Lorain - Gerald "Jerry" Ulichney, 61, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Metro Hospital, Cleveland following complications of a boating accident.
He was born on May 18, 1955 in Lorain, Ohio and was a lifelong Lorain resident.
Jerry graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1973. Following High School he worked at U.S. Steel and later he followed his passion working and servicing any water/marine craft being employed with The Boat Doctors earning various certifications and later as an independent boat mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends hunting and fishing on Lake Erie on his boat, at the beach, and Jackalope's in Lorain.
He is survived by his daughters, Heidi Estes of Elyria; Hollie Bates of Panama City, FL; four granddaughters, Haley: and Payton, Paige and Emily; siblings, Judy (Don) Willets of Lorain, Peter (Debbie) Ulichney of Lorain, Ken Ulichney of Lorain, Bob (Diane) Ulichney of Lorain, Nancy (Dan) Greer of Wellington; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Mary (nee: Bailey) Ulichney.

was born on January 23, 1924 in Lorain, OH where she was a lifelong resident.
Josephine
graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1942B. She married the love of her
life, Elmer Schneider on February 12, 1947. Josephine and Elmer had three
children and she was a dedicated, loyal and loving homemaker. She was a member
of St. Anthony of Padua, St. Anthony Marian Guild and Lorain Saxon Club. She
enjoyed playing bingo, traveling with her husband, and she loved playing cards
with her family and friends. Josephine was an avid Cleveland sports fan.
She
is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Elmer P. Schneider of Lorain;
daughters, Jeanne (Garon) Petty and Arleen (Russell) Gilles, both of Lorain;
son, George Schneider of Springfield, OH; sisters, Helen Chmielewski of Parma,
Mary (Edward) Poprock of Lorain, and Stella James of Lorain; 7 grandchildren;
and 7 great grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, Blazej and Stella (nee: Ginalski) Olejko;
brothers, Joseph, Frank, John, Alex, and infant brother Karolek Olejko; and
sisters, Jenni Walend and Bernice Sadowski.

Lorain - Berardino Giardini, 75, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on May 2, 1941 in Pescina, Abruzzo region of Italy to his loving parents, Giovanni and Maria (nee: DeLuca) Giardini.
He worked as a young boy in Italy and served his country in the Italian military before coming to America in 1966 following in the footsteps of his three uncles, pursuing the American dream. He became a US citizen and found work in Lorain. Three years later he returned to Italy to visit family and met the love of his life Rosanna (nee: DiNicola) whom he married in Italy in 1969. Berardino returned to America with his wife in February 1970. He started work as a mechanic for Bob Beck Chevrolet. At times, Benny had two and three jobs to provide for his family. He began his career with the City of Lorain as a mechanic, and after 40 years, retired as Superintendent. He was hard working, dedicated to his family and a faithful member of the former Church of St. Peter, now St. Peter Parish in Lorain. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, especially returning to Italy and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Rosanna Giardini; children, Alessandro (Victoria) Giardini, Giovanni (Sanda) Giardini, Rosemarie (Gus) Marzavas; grandchildren, Joshua Dunlap: and James and Evangeline Marzavas; sister, Vincenzina (Osvaldo) Guagnozzi of Italy; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins in America and Italy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Lorain - Linda E. Morosky (nee: Charlton) was born in Brownsville, PA September 30, 1946. She was the daughter of Ralph Eugene and Dorothy Elizabeth (nee: Bennett) Charlton.
She
married George J. Morosky on June 17, 1968. They moved to Lorain, OH and
resided in the Lorain/Elyria area all of their lives. George died in 1976 and
Linda went to school, earning her LCCC from Cleveland State, she became an
Occupational Therapist, and worked for various local hospitals until her
retirement at age 67.
Linda
loved traveling and reading and was an active in the choir at St. John's, later
St. Frances X. Cabrini and was very well thought of by her parish, professional
community, and her family. She died at home on August 17th, and will
be sorely missed.
She
is survived by her daughter, Jean Elizabeth Morosky, 45, of Lorain; she has two
siblings, Carol (Ronald) Bakos and Ralph (Cecelia) Charlton; four sisters in
law, Judy (Jim) Saska, Rose Ann (Edward) Rendulic, and Deborah Morosky; and
many nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Dorothy Charlton; and her
beloved husband, George Morosky; and sister in law, Kathy Raymond.
