Lorain-
John "Ed" O'Keefe Sr., 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 11,
2016 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center in Lorain, OH surrounded by his loving
family.
John
was born in Lorain, OH on December 6, 1931 to his loving parents, Edward David
and Mary (nee: Berkenbaugh) O'Keefe.
He graduated from St. Mary's Academy, Class of 1950. He worked at Lake Terminal Railroad until induction into the US. Army, 3rd Armored Division on April 6, 1953 until April 5, 1955.
Following
his discharge he worked from 1959 to 1966 at the U.S. Postal Service. From 1966
until his retirement in 1992 he was employed at PolyOne in Avon Lake.
On
September 8, 1956 he married his sweetheart, Jean Cyprus and they were blessed
with 4 children. He was an avid Cleveland Sports fan and played high school
football, enjoyed playing softball and bowled over the years. He enjoyed
traveling extensively with his wife, gardening and wood working. One of his greatest joys was attending his
grandchildren's music and sporting events. He was a member of St. Peter's
Church in Lorain.
He
is survived by his beloved wife of over 59 years, Jean (nee Cyprus); children,
Christine Kolleda (Jay- deceased), John Jr., Cathleen Turner (Grant) and Peggy
Baron (Gary); eight grandchildren, Brooke, Chad, Lauren, Erin, Erica, Kellie,
Blake and Coleton; 2 great-grandchildren, Lily and Jay and a third in the oven;
brother, Terry of Florida; brother-in-law, John Lindway; and many nieces and
nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Danny and Jerry; and sisters,
Maryellen Lindway and Patti Ruehlman.
"Ed"
was known for his humor and quick-wit.
But most of all he put his family first and foremost.

Lake- Carl Wayne Nay, 73, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at West
Bay Center in Westlake, OH.
He
was born on July 1, 1942 in Rural Dennings, Maryland to his loving parents,
Okey and Ceretha (nee: Eddgell) Nay.
He
attended South Amherst High School and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on
March 30, 1961 serving in Cuba at Guantanamo Bay. Carl was a Radio Operator
receiving the Good Conduct Medal, Sharp Shooter Badge and his GED. He was
honorably discharged on April 2, 1965.
Carl
returned home and worked as a welder at U.S. Steel in Lorain. In 1976, Carl was
Co-Owner of C & R Auto Repair with his brother-in-law, Rick Clouston from
there, he built Nay's Auto and several businesses that spanned Lorain County
over 3 decades, as well as ran for political office and was an asset to the
community.
He
is survived by his daughters, Lynn Stephens, Tari (John) Fazekas, June Nay and
Cindy (Bart) Heck; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and sisters,
Louise Yaciw, Barbara Rayburn and Mary Nay.
He
was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Nay; parents, Okey and Ceretha (nee:
Eddgell) Nay; sisters, Lucille Bauer and Betty Woods; and infant brother,
Richard Nay.

Lorain- Annette Rios-Wisniewski, 56, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Aria Health Torresdale Campus in Philadelphia, PA.
Annette was born in Lorain, OH on October 22, 1959 to her loving parents, Ruben Bara Rios and Ana Lydia (nee: Olivo-Rodriguez) Rios.
She graduated from Brookside High School, Class of 1978 and continued her education at Lorain County Vocational Center. Annette worked at The Nord Center in Lorain, OH and where she assisted the needs of others in the financial intake processing. She was a member of Local SEIU District 1199 where she served as Grievance Chair person. Annette returned to school while working and received her Associates of Art in 2009, her Bachelors of Arts in Health Care Studies with Honors in 2013 and she became a certified Minister in 2014. She enjoyed crafting and computer work.
She is survived by her loving children, Jessica (Ryan-fiance) Wisniewski, Jennifer (Aaron) Wisniewski-Hurst and Ryan Wisniewski; grandchildren, Mikael, Makala, Maddox, Ashton and Aarya; sister, Nancy (Rick) Rios-Cajka; brother, Derek Fuller; and nieces, Breann and Shayla.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ruben B. Rios.

James E. Donohue, 67, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the Cleveland
Clinic, Cleveland, OH, surrounded by his loving family.
James
was born in Lorain, OH on February 14, 1948, to his loving parents, Raymond and
Geraldine (nee: Hammer) Donohue.
He
grew up on the East side of Lorain and graduated from Lorain High School, Class
of 1966. Jim received his Associates Degree from LCCC. He worked in the Systems
Department at Bendix HVSG in Elyria for 11 years where he met his loving wife,
Kathy (nee: Matus) and they married on March 3, 1973. In 1981 he went to work
with Moen Inc. as a Systems Analyst and retired as a Senior Systems Analyst in
2003. In his retirement Jim worked for Lorain City Schools in the Maintenance
Department for six years. He was an avid musician who loved playing drums for
various bands including rock, pipe, jazz and big bands. He was a charter member
of the Wakeman Eagles Aerie #4354 and enjoyed fishing, camping and spending
time with his family in his backyard pool. Jim was extremely proud of his Irish
Heritage, his children and grandsons.
He
is survived by his loving wife of over 42 years, Kathleen A. Donohue of Wakeman;
children, Scot A. Donohue of Lorain, Natalie E. Donohue of North Olmsted, Adrienne
N. (Matt) Ippolito of North Olmsted and Jessica E. (Chris) Collett of
Cincinnati; grandsons, Eric, Preston and Brayden; mother-in-law, Grace F.
Matus; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Donohue;
daughter-in-law, Yolanda Donohue; and two nieces.

Lorain- Anne M. (nee: DiLuciano) Tocchi, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center in Lorain surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 20, 1935 in Lorain, OH to her loving parents, Antonio and Santarella DiLuciano.
Anne graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1953A and went on to St. John School of Nursing where she received her RN degree in 1956. She married Camillo "Jack" Tocchi on September 29, 1956 and they raised six children, Lynne, Michael, Laura, Lisa, Jacqualyn and David. Anne worked as head nurse of the first cancer unit at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain for over 34 years retiring in 1996. She was instrumental in establishing New Life Hospice and served as patient care coordinator for many years. She was an active volunteer and board member with the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua where she established the parish nursing program, served as a Eucharistic Minister and head of liturgy commission for several years. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the IAV Post #1.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Camillo "Jack" Tocchi; loving children, Lynne (Anthony) Giacobbe, Michael Tocchi, Lauri Kern, Lisa (David) Lang, Jacqui (Joe) Wallpe and Dave (Judy) Tocchi; 19 grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Rose DeAngelis and Virginia Bulso; brothers, Alfred, Frank, John, Jim and Tony; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eusebio and Dominic DiLuciano.

Lorain- Paul DiFrancesco, 85, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, OH.
Paul was born in Lorain, OH on July 23, 1930 to his loving parents, Erminio and Rachel (nee: Paoloemilio) DiFrancesco.
He graduated from Lorain High School in 1948. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1950 and was honorably discharged in 1954. Paul worked as a carpenter at U.S. Steel for 30 years and opened his own business, DiFrancesco Garage Door Company, which he ran for 38 years. Paul was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid poker player, gardener, traveler and good friend to many. He was a member of the Community of Saint Peter in Cleveland.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ann Terrece "Terry" DiFrancesco; son, David (Laura) DiFrancesco; grandsons, Christopher Donald and Alexander Paul; brothers, Angelo Marino (Marge) and Franklin "Frankie" DiFrancesco; sister, Delores Tompkins; brother-in-law, John Hook; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erminio and Rachel DiFrancesco; sisters, Christina (Matt) DelGrosso and Anita (George) Churpek-Hook; brother, Arthur Steven (Viola) DiFrancesco; sister-in-law, Barbara Ice; and brother-in-law, Walter Tompkins.

Lorain-Olga Hogrefe, 91, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at MetroHealth in Cleveland, OH.
Olga was born in Lorain, Ohio on August 25, 1924 to her loving parents, Dominic and Christina (nee: DelGallo) DeLeonardis. She was a lifelong resident of Lorain and she graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1942B. Olga married Wayne Hogrefe on July 5, 1945 and they started their lives together raising three children. Olga and her husband Wayne met and worked together at Crystal Clear Cleaners prior to starting their own business, Wayne Cleaners in Lorain, OH. Following retirement from Wayne Cleaners, she continued to provide alteration services in her home. She was a member of St. Peter Parish in Lorain, St. Peter's Holy Name Society, St. Francis Mission Group, Lorain County Serra Club, German American Club, Lakeland Womens Club and several Packard car clubs. Olga, with her husband, enjoyed attending numerous Packard car events and was honored to receive the Woman of the Year Award by St. Peter's Holy Name Society.
She
is survived by her loving daughters, Carol (Richard) Schafer and Jayne (Chris)
Werbylo; loving son, Wayne Hogrefe; cherished grandchildren, Jackie Schafer,
Casey (Carlton) Phi, Lindsey (Eli) Linger, Shannon (Ben) Colacchia, and Thomas

Lorain- Josephine C. Camarillo, 95, entered into heaven on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at New Life Hospice surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lorain on August 12, 1920 to Guiseppe and Felimina (nee: Testa) Cacia, and lived in the area all her life. She attended Lorain High School.
Josephine was a homemaker while she raised her family and then worked at DeLuca's Place in the Park as a caterer and a set up person until she retired in 1992. She was a former member of St. Vincent dePaul Church and a member of St. Peter Parish. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking, especially her pizzelle cookies, crossword puzzles and casino trips.
Josephine is survived by her three sons, Roland (Patricia) of Amherst, Jesse (Eileen) of Lorain and William (Janet) of Sheffield Village; two daughters, Gloria (George) White of Port Charlotte, Florida and Joyce Decker of Lorain; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and sister, Esther Greco of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo "Jesse"; her parents; and seven sisters, Mary, Rose, Angeline, Sylvia, Carrie, Catherine and Evelyn.

Lorain- Marshall C. Dimacchia, 83, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at St. John Medical Center with his loving family at his side.
He was born in Lorain, OH on February 3, 1932. Marshall graduated from St. Mary's High School, Class of 1950. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1954 and served in the Reserves until 1960. He married his beloved, Beverly (nee: Zakrajsek) on May 9, 1953 and they raised five loving children together. Marshall began his career in 1954 at Lorain Telephone Company and retired with 54 years of service receiving many honors including Employee of the Year. He was an active member of the Lorain Lions Club receiving the following awards: Dick Bryan Fellow, 2007-2008 an Ohio Lions Eye Research Foundation Recognition; Melvin Jones Fellow for Dedicated Humanitarian Services; and the President's Appreciation Award in 2005. Marshall was also a member of St. Anthony of Padua in Lorain. He was involved in Lorain High School and Lorain Catholic Booster Clubs. Marshall enjoyed watching all sports, attending his family's sporting events and activities as well as casino trips and playing the lottery.
He is survived by his children, Bambi (Bill) Dillon, Jeff (Barbie) Dimacchia, Heidi (David) Gedling, Robby Dimacchia and Ricky (Cathy) Dimacchia; grandchildren, Nikki (Frank) Janik, Jason (Robyn) Dimacchia, Joe (Jamie) Dimacchia and Kristen Dimacchia; great grandchildren, Arianna and Isabella Dimacchia; siblings, John (Barb) Dimacchia, Carm Januzzi, Carol (Paul) Courtney, Anita (Bill) Helbig and Peggy (Paul) Rutkowski; sister-in-law, Nancy Cacchione; aunt, Rose Diso; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Beverly A. (nee: Zakrajsek); parents, Columbus and Josephine (nee: Rosso) Dimacchia; father and mother-in-law, Tony and Helen (nee: Tomaszewski) Zakrajsek; brother, Joseph Dimacchia; sister, Joan Johnson; brother-in-law, Albert Januzzi; and sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Ken Hennes.
