Dorothy "Dotty" Six

Dorothy "Dotty" Jean Six (nee: Lorence), 74 years of age, a resident of Elyria, OH passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 after a long illness. Dorothy was born in Lorain, OH, on November 27, 1940, to the late Albert and Rhoda Lorence. Dorothy graduated from Lorain High School. Dorothy enjoyed travels which included the United States, Canada and Europe. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother, caring for her family.

Survivors include her son, David Six, of Sheffield Lake, OH; daughter, Jody Six of Elyria, OH; six grandchildren; sisters, Jane Vanderpool of Amherst, OH and Nancy Lorence of Lorain, OH; and brother, Allen Lorence of Lagrange, OH.

She was preceded in death by her mother and granddaughter, Margaret.

Dorothy found joy in and through her grandchildren (Shawn, Aaron, Kathryn, Samantha, Kristopher and Mathew). She had grand plans for all of them for their lives and wished them much happiness.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date, with Pastor Janet A. Long, Senior Pastor, officiating. Memorial donations may be made in Dorothy Six Memory to Washington Avenue Christian Church, Youth Church Camp Scholarships, 301 Washington Avenue, Elyria, OH 44035. To Dottys family...We were friends and worked together at Tappan many years ago.Dotty will be remembered for her laughter and caring ways. So sorry for your loss of a wonderful lady....Blessings to all.

I was deeply saddened by the news of Dorothy passing. My heart felt condolences to you and your family.We spent a lot of time together and I will deeply miss her. She was an amazing woman.
