Mrs. Shirley Belle Skarzynski

Lorain- Shirley Belle Skarzynski (nee:Schreck), 79, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013 at her home in Lorain, OH.

Shirley was born on August 19, 1934 in Connecticut and move to Lorain in 1981.

She graduated from Lorain Business College where she received her Associates Degree in Business Accounting. Shirley enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her five children, Cheryl "Brandy" (Shane) Arrowsmith of MA; Gary (Joyce) Skarzynski of MA; Christine (Claude) Blacksher of CT; John (Tina) Skarzynski of Lorain; and Kimberly (Paris) Lumpkin of Lorain; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; parents, George and Mae Schreck; sister, Dorothy Burgess; and brother, Robert Schreck.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, (440) 244-1961 on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 4:30 PM until closing prayers at the funeral home at 8:30 PM. I have yet to post on line, or make any public postings, however, I would only like to take this time to THANK all who knew and loved my mom for taking the time to know her and for the prayers that you bestowed upon her and our family. It has been a long journey home for her, and I wish her joy in life beyond us. I know she takes us all in her heart and will forever remain. Thank you all again for your love and support.
