Condolence

I met Uncle Haz on the dance floor at my good friend Theresa's wedding. She was a niece of his. What a wonderful polka dancer he was. Dancing with him was like the best amusement ride ever and he didn't mind that I kept stepping on his feet. And I got visit with him again when he would come to California to visit his sister Lucy. Rest in Peace, Uncle Haz and know that a grateful nation thanks you for your service and for your example of what a good man should be. My condolences to the Gutierrez Family. Christine Triggs

Dear Jessica, Maryann and Cindy, My deepest condolences to you three and your other family members on the loss of your Father and our Uncle. Uncle Haz led a long life well lived guiding the whole family for a long time. As Theresa said in her note, always a call to "report". He was always in charge. The last time I saw him was for the reunion. He asked me then if I remembered that he was my God Father. Luckily, I did. He will be missed by a lot of people. I hope the Honor Guard from the DAV will do him proud. God Bless you all. Love, George and Pam Shaw

A great family man, a wonderful father, and an incredible Uncle! He will be missed by several generations and remembered fondly. Uncle Haz always checked on me with phone calls that began with "report!". I was then to inform him how things were going in my life. Thinking about all who loved Jesse "Haz" Gutierrez.
