Anna Katherine Galvan

Lorain- Anna Katherine Galvan, 74, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Fairview Hospital.

She was born November 18, 1937 in Fairmont, WV to her loving parents, John J and Katherine Louise (nee Johnson) Stafford.

She worked and managed the Liedertafel and managed fish-frys at Imperial Café. Anna enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, gambling, gardening, the NY Yankees, her dog, Cody and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Harry B. Galvan Jr, Bob (Cathy) Galvan, Barb (Victor-fiance) Galvan, Bernice Galvan, John (Pam-companion) Galvan, Faith Galvan Kuhn and Angela Frye all of Lorain; brother, Clarence W. John (Jean) Stafford; 21 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren;

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Katherine Louise Cavallo; brother, John J Red Stafford; step-father, Nathaniel D. Lake; and great-grandson, Andrew Michael Hammond

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH (440) 244-1961 on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 20, 2012, Fr. John Retar, officiating. Interment Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.  Memorial donations may be sent to a cancer society of donors choice. Online condolences may be sent using www.rsgfuneralhome.com.

Rest in peace Anna Katherine. I always loved you, you were always good to me. I remember coming to your house so many times in my youth and you were always getting ready for Bingo with Aunt Louise. You both smelled so pretty and Aunt Louise with her red lipstick. I hope that the family finds peace now that you are at rest. Say hello to My Mom & Dad and grandma for me.
