Mr. Michael W. Ropelewski

Lorain- Michael W. "Rope" Ropelewski Jr., 31, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lorain on Sunday, June 24, 2012.

He was raised in Sheffield Lake and graduated from Brookside High School, Class of 1999.

Mike enjoyed life, playing pool, working on cars and cooking. He cherished and adored his daughter, Kathy.

Michael joins the Angels with his beloved mother, Kathleen L. (nee: Murray); maternal grandmother, Audrey Murray; and paternal grandfather, Raymond Ropelewski.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kathy Ropelewski; father, Michael W. (Peggy) Ropelewski Sr.; sisters, Bridget (Steve) Evans and Connie Burman; stepbrothers, Frank, Don and Dan Kovach; nephews and nieces, John Burman and Jennifer, Jason and Jessica Evans; maternal grandfather, James Murray; paternal grandmother, Tillie Ropelewski; and many loving uncles, aunts and cousins.       

Viewing, Thursday, June 28th from 4-8 PM at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain. Closing prayers at funeral home on Friday at 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, June 29th, 10 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish,  715 Harris Rd, Sheffield Lake, Fr. Stephen L. Shields, Pastor, officiating. Interment Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for his daughter, Kathys medical and education fund at the funeral home.
