Mr. Edward C. Landy

Lorain- Edward C. Landy, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Westlake Health Care Center, Westlake, OH.

He was born on August 5, 1932 in Polk, OH to his parents, John and Audrey (nee:Carpenter) Landy.

Ed was married to his loving wife, Rachel H. (nee: Hornesby) on October 11, 1969. He worked for the City of Elyria Sanitation Department retiring after 25 years.

 

He is survived by his son, David Dean of Elyria, OH; daughters, Pauline Sissy (Roger) Hoffman of Lorain, OH and Nellie Woods (nee: Dean) of Norwalk, OH; sisters, Shirley Belmont, Kathern Simms and Patricia Kidd; brother, Myron Bud Landy; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 29 years, Rachel H. Landy; his parents, John and Audrey Landy; sisters, Betty and Virginia; brothers, Elmer, Johnny and David.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH (440) 244-1961 on Monday, March 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the funeral home, Rev. Rick Young, officiating. Interment Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp, OH.
