Mr. Daniel J. Emerick

St. Augustine, Florida Daniel J. Sonny Emerick, 74, Born in Lorain, Ohio, resident of St. Augustine, Florida, formerly of Wakeman, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011. 

He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Fraternal order of the Eagles of Amherst, Ohio.  He was also a union carpenter for the local 705 out of Lorain, Ohio.  He enjoyed hunting and camping with his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Clara Lee (nee: Yerico) Emerick; sons Jeff Emerick and Scott Emerick, both residing in Norwalk,Ohio; daughters, Barb Risner, Dani Emerick, Michelle Marks and Toni Couts, all residing in St. Augustine, Florida; 11 grandkids; 10 great grandkids; and dog Max.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilford Emerick and Bertha Emerick. 

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, Ohio (440) 244-1961 on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 1-6 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM,  Monday, October 17, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial services will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp, Ohio, where military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army. Online condolences may be sent using www.rsgfuneralhome.com.
