To all of the Yacobozzi's....I feel your pain and loss...You all were blessed to have a loving, caring father whose buttons would burst when talking about his children...Oh the love he had for all of you....You will always have him and your mom with you....But now he is at peace with your Mama....The pain of the loss never goes away..I know I miss my Dad so much, but it does become tolerable...My thoughts are with all of you....Liz Miller...

To Yaccy's family: My name is Darryl Warner and I had the pleasure of working with Yaccy right after graduating from Lorain St. Marys and working the summer in the lab before I went on to Ohio University. he might have told you the story of the kid he worked with that slide over a car hood ornament in the McDonalds parking lot on West Erie. That was me. He teased me constantly about it and when I ran into him in Lorain/Amherst over the last 40 years he would always ask me 'did you ever have any kids ha ha ha?' What a straight shooter. The older I got the more I appreciated him and his wisdom he bestowed on me. I am mourning your loss. Darryl Warner

Dear family, I regret not being able to come to visitation or service for Pa, but my heart is with you all. I saw that vacancy in him when I vistied with you at Mom's visitation in October. It is not surprising at the timing of his homegoing so close to hers. It is a shock to us. I didn't realize the fullness of his accomplishments. He was a hero for sure. You have stated Ron, that "we lost another one from the greatest generation that ever lived." I think part of that greatness is they quietly knew that about themselves, but didn't flaunt it. Vince was a humble man and that only adds to his greatness. He will be missed. Love and peace to you all. In Christ, Stephen J. Polansky

The Greatest Generation, indeed! Mr. Yacobozzi exemplifies what that generation was all about! Family, Community, Country and God. We should all be so lucky to live such a full life! My Dad loved this poem and I think Mr. Yacobozzi would too. They both lived their lives on their own terms.... Happy the man and happy he alone He who can call today his own He who secure within can say Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today Be fair or foul, or rain or shine The joys I have possessed, in spite of Fate are mine Not heaven itself upon the past has power But what has been has been and I have had my hour. - John Dryden I know Mr. Yacobozzi had many, many hours! My deepest sympathies, Kathy Kennedy
