In order to maintain a connection with my hometown, I often visit the Journal website. I immediately recognized the Hoenig surname. My parents and grandparents spoke highly of and with great respect for the Hoenig family. I even recall a few picnic/social occasions at my grandparents home, as well as Mr. & Mrs. Hoenig's (Bill & Tessa) home. Please accept my condolences for your loss. Thank you for your kindness in remembering my family Alex Novak (son of Alex & Mary, grandson of Alex & Julia)

I am sorry for your loss Hoening and Yandell family. Jim was a wonderful man who always made me smile and laugh! He had a wonderful spirit that will continue to live on through his children and grandchildren. Every time I see a summer tomato I will remember a summer visit to his daughter in MD and how tickled he was at my use of newspapers as weed block around my tomato plants. There are three main things I will remember about Jim. His humor, his uplifting spirit and his love of family.

Deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jim. I was lucky enough to work with Jim at MK Ferguson and Middough Inc. He was my boss and my friend. I tell people that he was truly the NICEST person I ever had the pleasure of knowing.

The memory of Jim Hoenig is strong. Although we were far from Lorain for much of this life, I always remembered Jim as the really good friend at St. Mary's High. He stood together with us-- on or off a field. Condolences to family and know that he is also accompanying all of us on the rest of the journey. Jim Creagan
