I don't know if I know the words right now. Frankie, I can't believe you are gone as well. Your beautiful smile, your laugh, your attitude. I will miss you so much.

It's the first day of her internship at the LGBT Community Center. I assigned her to work with the senior program and she was assisting a volunteer in the kitchen. While they were preparing lunch, a mouse ran across Frankie's flipped flopped foot (never saw a mouse before or after). I heard a small scream from my office and ran out. There was Frankie, still focused on whatever she was preparing, explaining calmly what had happened (as I was standing on a chair!). She was so composed. I knew then, that she could handle anything that would come her way. She was one of my best and brightest, most caring interns and the clients adored her. The world has lost a gifted social worker. May this beloved soul rest in peace. May her children and loved ones find comfort and peace in the days to come. While her life was taken far too soon, she made an enormous impact! Frankie, don't forget, you always have what it takes...<3
