Mr. James Ronald Brenner

Lorain- James R. Brenner, 82, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain, OH.

James was born on July 21, 1933 in Massillon, OH. He graduated from Massillon Washington High School, Class of 1951. James enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on October 18, 1951 where he served in South Korea in air traffic control earning the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged on October 30, 1956. He returned home and married his beloved, Angeline (nee: Giacinto) on July 3, 1962. James worked at the Federal Aviation Association as a division chief for 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed softball, bowling, painting, woodworking and gardening.  

He is survived by his children, Louis James Brenner of Washington, D.C., Derry Brenner of Cleveland, OH and Lianne Kohlmeyer of Wilmington, N.C.; grandchildren, Andrea and Cameron; and sister, Carol.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Fay (nee: Irving) Brenner; and his loving wife of 43 years of marriage, Angeline Brenner.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM, Pastor Lisa Morrison, officiating.
